Alexander Ovechkin takes puck in sensitive 'lower body' area (Video)

Well, this would create a problem in our mythical The Bachelor NHL dream list. Alexander Ovechkin took a shot right to his um, groin area Sunday night against the Boston Bruins. He ended up being OK, but oh wow did this look painful.

Take a look at the Vine of the play (s/t Eye on Hockey)

OK, this is such a fluke that it hit Ovechkin, which is what makes it funny – if you like this type of humor. Look at how many bodies the shot missed to hit Ovi in his um, sensitive areas. Also, Ovechkin isn’t exactly known as Mr. Defense, and he seems to be really low in his zone to help out on the play.

Normally you think a winger comes out to the point to cover the defenseman. Oh regardless, just watch Ovi getting hit in the nuts on loop over and over again … because it’s Ovechkin, and potty humor at its finest. And both are quite hilarious when blended together in this play.
